NBA star Jaylen Brown’s father, Marselles Brown, has been arrested on an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing a youth football coach during a dispute over parking.
According to TMZ, the 57-year-old former boxer was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 20, following the incident in Las Vegas.
Police said the altercation occurred at All American Park, where Marselles reportedly got into a heated argument with another man before stabbing him. The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Authorities confirmed that Marselles fled the scene but was arrested shortly afterward. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, August 21.
In a statement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) said:
“Officers responded to a stabbing in the 1500 block of South Buffalo Drive. A male victim was located with multiple stab wounds and transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The suspect was stopped a short distance away and taken into custody.”
The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Quenton Marselles Brown and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on an attempted murder charge.
